Emmys 2010: «Mad Men» bestes Drama, «Modern Family» beste Comedy-Serie
Die Preise sind vergeben: Ausgezeichnet als bester Schauspieler einer Serie wurde Bryan Cranston für «Breaking Bad», beste Schauspielerin ist Kyra Sedgewick aus «The Closer».
Ganz ohne Überraschungen verlief die Verleihung der diesjährigen Oscars nicht. Die Zeremonie, die an manchen Stellen eher wie eine Lobhudelei an den Pay-TV-Sender HBO erinnerte, überzeugte durch unglaublich hohes Tempo und hielt seine Zuschauer auch mit der ein oder anderen Überraschung bei Laune. So war es beispielsweise nicht Tony Shalhoub, der als bester Darsteller einer Comedy-Serie geehrt wurde, sondern Jim Parson, der verdientermaßen auf die Bühne geholt wurde. Bester Darsteller einer Dramaserie wurde Bryan Cranston für seine Arbeit in der hochgelobten Serie «Breaking Bad».
Beste Schauspielerin einer Drama-Serie ist Kyra Sedgewick, die seit einigen Jahren die Hauptfigur in «The Closer» mimt, Eddie Falko bekam den Preis als beste Hauptdarstellerin in einer Comedy-Serie. Sie wurde für die Showtime-Produktion «Nurse Jackie» geehrt. Spannend wurde es dann noch in den Kategorien beste Drama-Serie und beste Comedy-Serie. Als beste Serie wurde «Mad Men» gewählt - sicherlich ein Zeichen dafür, dass es derzeit um Serien im Network-TV in Amerika nicht mehr ganz so gut steht wie noch vor einigen Jahren. Das Format setzte sich unter anderem gegen «Breaking Bad» und Showtimes «Dexter» durch. An ABC ging der Preis in Sachen Beste Comedy-Serie, hier gewann etwas überraschend «Modern Family». «Nurse Jackie» und der Erfolgs-Neustart «Glee» gingen leer aus.

Ganz ohne Überraschungen verlief die Verleihung der diesjährigen Oscars nicht. Die Zeremonie, die an manchen Stellen eher wie eine Lobhudelei an den Pay-TV-Sender HBO erinnerte, überzeugte durch unglaublich hohes Tempo und hielt seine Zuschauer auch mit der ein oder anderen Überraschung bei Laune. So war es beispielsweise nicht Tony Shalhoub, der als bester Darsteller einer Comedy-Serie geehrt wurde, sondern Jim Parson, der verdientermaßen auf die Bühne geholt wurde. Bester Darsteller einer Dramaserie wurde Bryan Cranston für seine Arbeit in der hochgelobten Serie «Breaking Bad». Beste Schauspielerin einer Drama-Serie ist Kyra Sedgewick, die seit einigen Jahren die Hauptfigur in «The Closer» mimt, Eddie Falko bekam den Preis als beste Hauptdarstellerin in einer Comedy-Serie. Sie wurde für die Showtime-Produktion «Nurse Jackie» geehrt. Spannend wurde es dann noch in den Kategorien beste Drama-Serie und beste Comedy-Serie. Als beste Serie wurde «Mad Men» gewählt - sicherlich ein Zeichen dafür, dass es derzeit um Serien im Network-TV in Amerika nicht mehr ganz so gut steht wie noch vor einigen Jahren. Das Format setzte sich unter anderem gegen «Breaking Bad» und Showtimes «Dexter» durch. An ABC ging der Preis in Sachen Beste Comedy-Serie, hier gewann etwas überraschend «Modern Family». «Nurse Jackie» und der Erfolgs-Neustart «Glee» gingen leer aus.
